Through constant dedication over some 20 years, Reason has undoubtedly withstood the test of time to stand as an icon of Australian Hip Hop. Personifying both tenure and standard as one of Australia's true veterans of the underground scene, in 1998 Reason was the first artist signed to Obese Records, releasing the label’s first record in 1999 titled ‘Solid’ [OBR001]. Never far from social conscience and contemporary issues, his forthcoming EP ‘The Tides Are Turning’ is a true portrait of an artist who wears his heart on his sleeve. This is by far the most polished and rounded Reason release to date.

1POINT618 is Producer/DJ SLAP618 (Muph & Plutonic's ex DJ) and MC TBoogieRay. Diametrically opposed in most aspects of their lives, the two share a common connection that embodies the 1.618 ethos. As a producer SLAP618 is inspired by up tempo funk, soul and rock to create a range of atmospheric styled beats allowing T Boogie to capture the listener with his thoughtful analysis on living in Australia’s diverse and contradictory society. 1POINT618's music goes beyond simple looped samples laid over a beat laced with two-bit lyrics - it is a deep inspection into the minds of an impressionist and composer, where carefully crafted beats and lyrics become one.
