R.I.P. KL from Screwball

If you don't already know, KL from the infamous Queensbridge legends Screwball sadly passed away from an asthma attack over the weekend...I was going to do a tribute post, but my man Robbie from Unkut.com beat me to it and with a great bunch of material for you to download.

CRDS Presents Back To 1988 Volume 3

Oh way back, oh way back...

Here is another collection of fine gems from 1988, a year like no other, when skills and paying dues were the most import credentials, a time when producers were looping up classic breaks or programming drum machines and digging through their Dad's and Uncle's record collections, a time when MC's were developing new and unique styles, a time when DJ's played an important part and were just as important as the MC or MC's of a group, this compilation is like the TDS Mob exclaim "addictive like heroin", enjoy these joints.

The tracklist:

1. tds mob - dope for the folks
2. tall dark and handsome - tall dark and handsome
3. dj scratch and god - the party is jumpin
4. shinehead - who the cap fits
5. gangstarr - movin on
6. cobra mcees -the m go
7. boogie down productions -my philosophy
